Dr Kate Gray is a locally trained urologist completing her medical degree with the University of Queensland and subsequent surgical training in hospitals throughout South East and Central Queensland. After being awarded her Australasian College of Surgeons Urology Fellowship Examination she has had the opportunity to complete two overseas fellowships in Oxford, UK and Christchurch, NZ focusing on the multidisciplinary treatment of prostate, bladder and kidney cancers as well as urinary incontinence and video urodynamics. Dr Gray performed the first robotic sacropolpopexy in Queensland in late 2013. This procedure is performed to correct prolapse and/or herniation of the vagina, uterus, and bladder.

Dr Peter Heathcote completed his basic medical degree and his Specialist Urology training in Queensland before further advanced training in the UK in reconstructive Urology and in Canada in Oncology in particular Radical Prostatectomy. More recently he completed extensive training at the Global Robotics Institute in Florida USA as part of the team that introduced the first Robotic Surgery program in Queensland. His special interest and expertise is in prostate and bladder surgery with emphasis on Robotically Assisted Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy.

He has also started performing prostate MRI guided prostate biopsy in conjunction with Queensland Xray.

Dr Greg Malone completed his medical degree with an MBBS from the University of Queensland in 1992. In 2001 Dr Malone successfully completed his Fellowship examination with the RACS (Urology). Subsequently, Dr Malone undertook a Fellowship year at the prestigious Institute for Urology and Nephrology in London. This fellowship was focusing on prostate cancer/radical prostatectomy, endourology and complex stone disease. Dr Malone has undertaken extensive training in robotic surgery with a particular emphasis on robotically assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.

Dr Malone is a Mentor/Trainer (for other surgeons and trainees) for Prosthetic Surgery, with particular reference to Penile Prosthesis insertion and Male Sling therapy for urinary incontinence.

Dr Malone is currently the Chairman of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Urological Surgeons (ANZAUS), and the Convenor and Chair of the 2014 USANZ National Scientific Meeting to be held in Brisbane (USANZ14).

Dr Jason Paterdis is a Urological and Robotic Surgeon who treats a wide range of urological conditions. He has a special interest in urological oncology. He undertook his medical degree at the University of Queensland, where he graduated with fist class honours. He trained extensively in hospitals throughout Queensland and Australia, where he developed sub specialty interest in Robotic Surgery.

Dr Paterdis is a consultant urologist with Queensland Health, and is available for consultation at Brisbane Urology Clinic, Wickham Terrace and Bundaberg.

Dr Peter Swindle specialises in prostate cancer. He is one of the few urologists in Australia who specialises solely in prostate cancer and whose practice is limited to diseases of the prostate. 

His expertise lies in Robotic Prostatectomy and Prostate Brachytherapy. 

He graduated from The University of Queensland in 1990 and obtained his specialist qualifications from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2000. He has a higher degree from the University of Sydney based on prostate cancer (Masters of Surgery). 

He undertook subspecialty fellowship training in the United States at the world renowned Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre (MSKCC) in New York. At MSKCC Dr Swindle spent a further two years after his Australian specialist training undergoing subspecialty training in prostate cancer.

Dr Teng specialises in disease of the prostate, urinary incontinence and prosthesis. He performs robotic prostatectomy and brachytherapy for prostate cancer, surgery for urinary incontinence especially post prostatectomy incontinence and urological prosthetic surgery including artificial urinary sphincter and penile implant. Dr Roger Watson has a special interest in prostate cancer, radical prostatectomy with nerve sparing both with robotic and open surgery, prostate ultrasound and biopsy, multimodal management of advanced prostate cancer, bladder cancer, diagnosis and assessment of suspected bladder cancer, telescopic bladder preserving treatments for early bladder cancer, radical cystectomy including continent urinary reconstruction, clinical trials in early and advanced bladder cancer, kidney and testicular cancer, and laparoscopic surgery for urological cancers. 

Dr Watson trained in urological surgery in Brisbane, completing the RACS Fellowship in 1993. Following this, he undertook subspecialised training in the United Kingdom and the USA. 

He has published extensively on all aspects of urological cancer, particularly bladder and prostate cancer.

Dr Glen Wood completed a Science degree and two years of full time research at Monash University, Victoria prior to completing his medical degree at the University of Queensland. He completed his advanced surgical training in Urology in Queensland and spent a further year in Christchurch, New Zealand gaining experience in Laser stone surgery and the diagnosis and treatment of Prostate Cancer. Dr Wood has completed training in Seed Brachytherapy at the Seattle Prostate Institute and founded Queensland’s first brachytherapy program at Greenslopes Private Hospital in 2003. 

Dr Wood is a Da Vinci trained surgeon who performs robotic radical prostatectomy.

Dr Simon Wood is a urological surgeon treating all aspects of adult urology.
